Menarini Turkey Continues Global Appointments. Zahide Yenihayat, Procurement Director at Menarini Turkey, has been appointed as the “Italy and Western Europe Region Procurement Director” and “Turkey and META Region Procurement Director” within the Global Procurement Department.
Menarini, one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies, continues its trend of global appointments from Turkey. Zahide Yenihayat, who boasts nearly 35 years of strong experience in the pharmaceutical sector, has been appointed as the “Italy and Western Europe Region Procurement Director” within the Global Procurement Organization. In addition to her new role, Zahide Yenihayat will also temporarily assume the role of “Turkey and META Region Procurement Director.”
Having embarked on her career in the pharmaceutical industry in 1989, Yenihayat has gained extensive experience over the years in establishing robust procurement teams, supporting digital transformation, and developing sourcing strategies. She has also led successful initiatives in optimizing procurement processes, including the implementation of digital projects.
Yenihayat is also highly skilled in various areas such as team leadership, change management, project management, logistics strategy development, category management, contract lifecycle management, stakeholder communication, negotiation, supply chain processes, and import processes.
With all this knowledge and experience, Yenihayat will continue her successful career as the “Italy and Western Europe Region Procurement Director” and temporarily as the “Turkey and META Region Procurement Director.”
Zahide Yenihayat graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Economics, Department of English Economics in 1991.
Özlem Önal Üzel, Procurement Manager for Direct Materials at Menarini Turkey, has been appointed as the “Global Category Manager” responsible for Packaging Materials within the Global Procurement Department.
Özlem Önal Üzel, who served as the Procurement Manager for direct materials at Menarini Turkey, leading procurement activities by ensuring the quality, cost, and supply standards of materials used in pharmaceutical and para-pharmaceutical formulations, will continue her successful career as the “Global Category Manager” responsible for Packaging Materials within the Menarini Global Procurement Department. In addition to her new role, Üzel will temporarily continue her role as the Procurement Manager for Direct Materials in Turkey.
With over 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Üzel has a strong expertise in API sourcing, direct material procurement, and project management, as well as a deep knowledge of industry trends, global procurement situations, and regulatory requirements for APIs. She has also played a guiding role in all SAP and JD EDWARDS projects at the corporate level.
Özlem Önal Üzel graduated from Gazi University Faculty of Chemistry and completed her master’s degree in Chemical Engineering at the same university in 2005. She also obtained an MBA from Galatasaray University in 2021.
