Istanbul to Host Event Transforming it into the Blockchain and Web3 Capital
Event to Establish Istanbul as the Blockchain and Web3 Hub to Take Place on August 13-14. Istanbul Blockchain Week (IBW) 2024 returns this year with a revamped program, bringing together stakeholders from the global blockchain and Web3 ecosystem in Istanbul. Scheduled for August 13-14 in Istanbul, IBW 2024 will bolster Istanbul’s reputation in the global fintech arena.
As Turkey stands as a leading country in cryptocurrency and blockchain adoption, hosting an event like IBW 2024 in the summer of 2024 will further enhance its standing in the global fintech landscape. The event will gather leading figures from the Web3 ecosystem, pioneers of traditional and decentralized finance (DeFi) in Turkey, at the Hilton Istanbul Bomonti Hotel and Conference Center. Positioned to become the largest Web3 event in Turkey, IBW 2024 will solidify Istanbul’s position as the crypto hub of Eurasia.
A research conducted by Binance Research in Turkey revealed that 40% of the Turkish population invests in cryptocurrencies, with approximately three out of four individuals (73%) believing that more people will invest in cryptocurrencies in the next five years. These findings underscore the widespread adoption of cryptocurrencies in Turkey.
Organized by Web3 agency EAK Digital and having reached over 8,000 participants in 2022 and 2023, Istanbul Blockchain Week highlights Istanbul’s strategic position among global financial centers like Dubai and London, bringing together domestic and foreign experts shaping the Web3 revolution.
Erhan Korhaliller, Founder of Istanbul Blockchain Week, emphasized the importance of IBW 2024’s revamped program in bringing together blockchain enthusiasts, professionals, thought leaders, and influencers.

The hot topics of the day will be discussed through panels and sessions, with the main event, IstanBlock, focusing on artificial intelligence, real-world assets (RWA), decentralized physical infrastructure networks (DePIN), DeFi, regulations, gaming, Web3 culture, and venture capital.
