TURKISH COSMETICS SECTOR TO OPEN THE EUROPEAN MARKET FROM SPAIN

Istanbul Chemicals and Chemical Products Exporters' Association (IKMIB) organized Europe Barcelona Sectoral Trade Delegation. A total of 97 companies from European countries as well as Spain participated in the trade delegation held in Barcelona, Spain with the participation of 14 İKMİB member companies, while a total of 755 bilateral business meetings were held within the scope of the delegation.

A total of 97 companies from European countries as well as Spain participated in the trade delegation held in Barcelona, Spain with the participation of 14 İKMİB member companies, while a total of 755 bilateral business meetings were held within the scope of the delegation.

Within the scope of the Europe Barcelona Sectoral Trade Delegation organized by İKMİB between 11-15 February 2024 for the cosmetics and cleaning sector, Turkish products related to cosmetics, especially skin, bath, hair and sun care products, were introduced to European companies. Within the scope of the sectoral trade delegation attended by 26 representatives from 14 companies from Turkey, suppliers of approximately 97 chain stores from Spain as well as other European countries came together.

IKMIB Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors M. İmer Özer and IKMIB Board Member Uğur Adıyaman and Turkish Commercial Attaches to Barcelona Mehmet Örnek and Nurdan Çamlıbel Aydın visited Turkish companies.

755 bilateral business meetings were held

During the four-day event, which was attended by 111 Turkish and European companies, 755 bilateral business meetings were held to discuss new cooperation opportunities. During the bilateral business meetings, buyers and suppliers from 23 European countries, including Switzerland, the Netherlands, Spain, Germany, Germany, the UK, Norway, Portugal, France, Czechia, Romania, Poland, Sweden, Italy, Bulgaria, Belgium, Ireland, Australia, Northern Ireland, Slovenia, Finland, Estonia, the USA, Greece, Lithuania, the Republic of South Africa and Serbia, and other countries came together with Turkish companies. The delegation meetings are expected to contribute to the regional increase in the sector’s exports as well as Spain.
