The 4th Smart Transportation Systems Summit organized by the Turkey Intelligent Transportation Systems Association (AUS Turkey) was held in Ankara from May 2nd to May 4th. At the summit, the “AUS Turkey Special Award” was presented to the project titled “Preparing Turkey’s Highways for Use by Level 4 Autonomous Driving Vehicles,” carried out by ICA in collaboration with Ford Otosan.
ICA, a key player in the field of smart transportation, received recognition for its innovative project aimed at making Turkey’s highways compatible with level 4 autonomous driving technology. The project, which involved testing autonomous trucks developed by Ford Otosan using the smart transportation systems installed by ICA, marked the initial steps towards integrating level 4 autonomous driving technology with the country’s highway infrastructure.
The Smart Transportation Systems Summit (SUMMITS’24), organized by AUS Turkey, is one of Turkey’s most important events in the field of smart transportation. It brings together industry leaders to discuss the future of transportation and showcases technological advancements in the sector.
During the summit, ICA’s Senior Manager of Network and Smart Transportation, Meriç Ergül, led a session titled “Digitalization and Innovation in Mobility and Logistics,” where the latest developments in smart transportation and digitalization applications in transportation were discussed.
Serhat Soğukpınar, Group President of Transportation and Infrastructure at IC Holding, expressed his gratitude for the award and highlighted ICA’s commitment to advancing smart transportation systems in Turkey. He emphasized the importance of collaboration, particularly the successful partnership with Ford Otosan, in achieving international standards in smart transportation systems.
