20,000 Tons of Natural Stone to be Exhibited at Izmir Marble Fair – Equivalent to Two Eiffel Towers! The countdown has begun for MARBLE İzmir – The 30th International Natural Stone and Technologies Fair, the largest global gathering of the industry and Turkey’s gateway for natural stone exports. The first block of natural stone has arrived for the event, which will take place from April 9 to 12. A total of 20,000 tons of block stone, equivalent to the weight of two Eiffel Towers, will be showcased at Turkey’s largest exhibition venue, Fuar İzmir.

Izmir Marble Fair: A Global Hub for the Natural Stone Industry

Preparations are in full swing for Izmir Marble Fair, one of the largest global events in the natural stone sector. MARBLE İzmir – International Natural Stone and Technologies Fair will open its doors for the 30th time from April 9 to 12 at Fuar İzmir. The fair will host industry professionals from all 81 provinces of Turkey and around the world, featuring over 1,000 natural stone blocks in various colors, as well as cutting-edge machinery for the sector. With the trade volume it generates, the fair will once again revitalize Turkey’s economy and strengthen the natural stone industry.

First Natural Stone Arrives at Fuar İzmir

The first natural stone block to be displayed at the 30th MARBLE İzmir Fair was extracted from a quarry in İscehisar, Afyonkarahisar, and is internationally known as Afyon Gold and Calacatta Viola. The massive stone block, weighing several tons, was carefully lowered into the exhibition area.

Each Block Weighs Over 20 Tons

The natural stone blocks showcased at the fair will each weigh over 20 tons. With more than 1,000 stone blocks arriving, the total weight will reach 20,000 tons, twice the weight of the Eiffel Tower, which is estimated to be around 10,000 tons.

Cumalıoğlu: Expecting Around 1,000 Participants

Tuğçe Cumalıoğlu, General Manager of İZFAŞ, announced that preparations for the Marble Fair, which attracts participants from all over the world, are underway. “The first marble block has been placed in our exhibition area. We expect over 1,000 blocks and around 1,000 exhibitors from across the globe. Through the fairs we organize, we continue to contribute to industry and trade. We will keep working for a stronger future and continue producing for this beautiful country,” she stated.
