Cengiz Altop
Cengiz Altop, an experienced name in the food sector, was appointed as CEO of Northstar, one of Yıldız Holding companies.
Cengiz Altop has been appointed CEO of Yıldız Holding’s innovation company Northstar. Cengiz Altop, who has more than 40 years of experience in the food industry, graduated from METU Chemical Engineering Department in 1979 and completed his master’s degree in the same department in 1981.
In 1991, Mr. Altop completed his MBA at Yale University and worked as Production Engineer, R&D & Quality Manager and Assistant General Manager at Ülker Chocolate and Biscuit factories between 1983 and 1989. Between 1992 and 1998, Mr. Altop worked as Assistant General Manager at Mis Süt and founding General Manager of the Macro Supercenter chain in Tekfen Group, and served as Managing Partner of Teknaroma between 2003 and 2020.
In 2020, Cengiz Altop announced that the company will become Palsgaard Gıda San. Tic. A.Ş. in 2020, where he served as General Manager until January 2023. Prior to his appointment as CEO at Northstar, Cengiz Altop was most recently Senior Commercial Leader, Global Chocolate Industry at Palsgaard Gıda.
Cengiz Altop will lead the innovation and incubation processes at Northstar, where the technologies and processes of the products that will provide Yıldız Holding with a competitive advantage in the future will be developed.
