Bodrum Welcomes Summer with Rally. The third leg of the Petrol Ofisi Maxima 2024 Turkey Rally Championship, Rally Bodrum, organized by the Karya Automobile Sports Club (KAROSK) on April 26-28, concluded with the leadership of Ali Türkkan-Oytun Albayrak team from Castrol Ford Team Turkey. Additionally, Türkkan-Albayrak, who set the best time in the special stage commemorating the 185th Anniversary of the Gendarmerie, also won the gendarmerie special award, while the team also became the winner of Class 3.

The second place in the overall classification and first place in Class 2 were secured by Ümit Can Özdemir-Kutay Ertuğrul team from GP Garage My Team, while the third place was claimed by Kerem Kazaz-Corenitn Slyverstre team from Parkur Racing. Kazaz-Slyverstre not only won the youth championship but also the TECNO special award from the event sponsors. Castrol Ford Team Turkey became the Brands winner of the 476-kilometer-long rally, which lasted for 2 days on asphalt stages showcasing the natural beauties of Bodrum and Milas, while GP Garage My Team claimed the Teams championship.

Supported by Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, Bodrum District Governorship, Milas District Governorship, Bodrum Youth and Sports District Directorate, and Bodrum Municipality, and sponsored by TECNO, Duja Hotels, Solution Partner, Evofone, VST Tour, Oasis Bodrum, Pars Entertainment, Magico Cielo, SHA Real Estate Construction, the event organized with the contributions of Bodrum Journalists Association concluded with a finish ceremony held in front of the Be Premium Hotel on April 28. The award-winning athletes received their awards from Muğla Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Brigadier General Ali Gemalmaz, Bodrum District Governor Mustafa Çit, Bodrum District Gendarmerie Commander Gökhan Kurgan, Bodrum Municipality Council Members Abdullah Engin Başol and Seha Ergene, and representatives of sponsor companies.

In Class 4 and Two-Wheel Drive, the first place was achieved by Refik Bozkurt-Soner Tamer from Atış Motorsport, while Kübra Denizci Keskin-Onur Vatansever from Hypco Neo Motorsport became the winner of Class 5. The Master pilots category was won by Uğur Soylu from GP Garage My Team, the Women pilots category was won by Burcu Çetinkaya, and the Women co-pilots category was won by Italian Fabrizia Pons. In the historic class open to classic rally cars over 35 years old, Kemal Gamgam-Orkun Demir from Parkur Racing secured another victory, with Ahmet Tınkır-Rafet Yılmaz team with Fiat 131 S coming in second.

In this year’s TOSFED Rally Cup class dedicated to Celal Gülerhan’s memory, the young team from Ankara, Berkay Erdoğan-Muhammed Mataracı, clinched the top spot, also securing the first place in Category 4. Taner Oruç-Onur Sırımoğlu came second and claimed the first place in Category 2, while Sencan Kırıkkaya-Tezcan Başar finished third. In Category 3, the fastest team was Alp Atak-Alperen Tetik, while Çiğdem Tümerkan, racing with her daughter Zeynep Tümerkan, won the Women pilots category, and Cansu Açar, racing with Faruk Sayın, won the Women co-pilots category.
